Installation

Single-Piece Grips

  1. Remove your old grips and wipe the bar clean of any debris or adhesive.
  2. Apply a very light layer of isopropyl alcohol to the handlebar and inside layer of the grip.
  3. Slide grip onto the handlebar; use the palm of your hand to hit the end of grip to overcome light resistance.
  4. If heavy resistance is encountered, remove the grip and apply a slightly heavier layer of isopropyl alcohol; DO NOT overly torque or stretch grip as this may cause the under-layer to tear.
  5. Once the grip is correctly positioned on the bar, give it a few hard squeezes to establish a seal.
  6. Allow the grips about 10-15 minutes to dry and seal to the bar, however this process could take up to 2-4 hours. If you find your grips still have not sealed to the bar after that time, you most likely have applied too much alcohol in which case remove the grips, dry off the bar, and restart the process using less alcohol. DO NOT attempt to ride if the grips aren’t fully sealed on the bar.

If the grip is damaged during the installation process, contact GridGrips support (support@gridgrips.com); DO NOT continue with installation or attempt to ride with the grips.
